Firearms Instructor Workshop for LE

Service Description

This 3-day course is designed to challenge and improve Instructors of all experience levels as they learn, grow, discuss, and workshop best methods in modern LE training. A look at current teaching methods of hard skills, benefits of practical shooting exercises in learning & teaching, academy curriculum updates, LE-specific movement, special problems, and proper integration of skill building & drill design. Other Topics that will be covered: - Safety/Med Considerations - Dryfire & How to Train - Confirmation Levels & Vision - Qualification Standards - Efficiency in Hard Skills: Grip, Sights, Trigger, Draw Stroke - Instructor/Coach Methods & Use of Video - Application-based Movement for Law Enforcement - Hit Factor & other methods to evaluate performance Equipment Needed to attend: - Pistol w/ at least 3 Magazines, Holster & Flashlight - Vest, Eye Protection & Electronic Ear Protection - 1200 Rounds Training Ammo - 10 dummy rounds - Packed lunch for each day - Shot Timer (if available) Course Host is Connecticut State Police Firearms Training Unit.
